What: Be the first to know about a new lead generation tool, The Georgia Defense Exchange. (GDX) This will be a game changer!
The Georgia Department of Economic Development has just launched the Georgia Defense Exchange (GDX), an interactive business development platform designed to assist Georgia businesses in finding new opportunities in Department of Defense (DoD) contracting.
The GUARD Initiative, the Center of Innovation for Aerospace and The SimpleVUE are the team behind GDX. Representatives from this team will be demonstrating how you can take advantage of this new tool to find qualified new business, partners or suppliers and make sure your company is listed.
The Georgia Defense Exchange (GDX) offers Georgia companies an easy to use business development platform to search opportunities in contracting with the department of defense. In both 2015, and 2016, there were $6.4 Billion in Defense contracts executed in Georgia.
More than $3 billion of Georgia’s defense contracts are related to services such as facilities maintenance, science and engineering, equipment and construction. Collectively, this represents a huge opportunity for Georgia businesses, both those who are traditionally defense related, and for service oriented companies who may be new to defense contracting. So while Lockheed Martin, Meggitt, General Dynamics and Northrop Grumman account for some of the largest defense contracts in Georgia, there are opportunities for just about any type of business.
GDX is a one -stop data research and collaboration platform available at no cost to all Georgia companies interested in defense contracting. Users can view current opportunities, research contract history, or list their company in the contractor directory and connect with other businesses. There are content rich data visualizations, interactive dashboards, real-time DoD data, and business-to-business communication tools.
